Despite the rainy weather, the orange azalea in front of our porch is starting to bloom. I love the peachy blossoms!
To participate in the Saturday Snapshot meme, bloggers are asked to post a photo that they (or a friend or family member) have taken, then leave a direct link to your post on the Saturday Snapshot site. Photos can be old or new, and be of any subject as long as they are clean and appropriate for all eyes to see. How much detail you give in the caption is entirely up to you. All she asks is that you don't post random photos that you find online. Thanks to Alyce at At Home With Books for hosting!
That's gorgeous - our azaleas are long gone for this year. When I toured Callaway Gardens several years ago, we were told that orange is the azalea's native color and now you rarely see it.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen orange azaleas. They almost look good enough to eat.
ReplyDeleteWe had 2 orange azaleas in our other home. Loved them. GORGEOUS SHOT
ReplyDeleteI love the delicate color.
ReplyDeleteWow, orange azaleas looks so exotic! Gorgeous shot. Thanks for sharing, and for visiting my blog.
ReplyDeleteOh, my goodness! I've never seen an orange azalea. Ours are beyond the peak here in TX too. I love the feathery edges of azaleas. When I was growing up, we had many of them in our backyard beds - all shades of pink.
ReplyDeleteThanks, everyone. Wow, I had no idea that orange is the native color of azaleas -- I grew up with pink and purple! When we lived in Florida, we had a row of deep coral azaleas in front of the house that I loved. I couldn't find that color when we moved to PA, so I settled on this lighter orange!
ReplyDeleteThose are gorgeous!!!!
ReplyDeleteSheila stole my comment word for word! :) They are completely gorgeous though!
ReplyDeleteHi!
ReplyDeleteIt's a beautiful flower. I've not seen one that color before. Have a great day!

Those are really cool looking flowers! I just love spring with all the colors and designs that come out
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful! I don't think we have any other colour than pink, here! But that seems strange, so I probably never noticed the other colours.
ReplyDeleteI would love a bit more colour in my garden.
Unusual color - how interesting to learn that this is the native color of azaleas! Makes our pink, purple and whites look dull and common by comparison.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! Wish I could have a garden.
ReplyDeleteHere's My Saturday Snapshot
That's a really lovely color. I'm more used to the pink ones too, and whites, but I'd really like one like this.
ReplyDeleteThose are absolutely lovely! I've never seen orange ones before.

Wow...have never seen orange azeleas...BEAUTIFUL.
ReplyDeleteLove your blog too...your header is awesome.
I love your azelea , enjoy your weekend.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen this color of azelea. It's extremely pretty. Nice photo.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty. All I ever see are the pink evergreen azaleas. I had a couple of flowering shrubs die over the nasty winter... an orange azalea would make a nice replacement.
ReplyDeleteThese flowers look exquisite! Brilliant shot, Col! =D
ReplyDeletethese are so beautiful, Frances
