We had an unusual warm-up in Central PA this week -- temperatures rose into the low 70s, and the world seemed to wake up! I found this little sign of spring in the front yard, and wanted to share. Hope spring is springing where you are, too -- unless fall ought to be falling, that is!
To participate in the Saturday Snapshot meme, bloggers are asked to post a photo that they (or a friend or family member) have taken, then leave a direct link to your post on the Saturday Snapshot site. Photos can be old or new, and be of any subject as long as they are clean and appropriate for all eyes to see. How much detail you give in the caption is entirely up to you. All she asks is that you don't post random photos that you find online.
Thanks to Alyce at At Home With Books for hosting!!
We had 68 degree weather yesterday, and finally most of the piles of snow are gone. Your photo makes me optimistic:)
ReplyDeleteAh spring. I haven't seen any signs around here yet, but I'm taking my camera out hunting in a few minutes. There must be something, it's the middle of March! A sight like your picture would be very welcome :-)
ReplyDeleteThat's just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHow exiting. It's beautiful. It's supposed to be near 80 today here in Georgia. I'm spending the whole day in the park. Enjoy your trip to DC; I know it's going to be amazing!
ReplyDeleteI have heard signs of spring in our area but have not seen it for myself yet other than the people who have bikes on the back of their vehicles.... I want to know where they are going and where they are riding as we are still ice and snow covered.
ReplyDeleteHi!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!!! I've got a spring flower popping up too. I hope this isn't a false start. Have a great day!

That's pretty, and it looks like it's almost floating!
ReplyDeleteAfter our gorgeous spring weather last week, we had some rain and chillier temps. this week. But I can't complain. Love the flower!
ReplyDeleteHere's MY SATURDAY SNAPSHOT POST
Beautiful! the first flowers of spring always make me so happy.
ReplyDeleteGlad you captured it before the bunnies could get it, which is what happens at our house. We have the Bunny Buffet over here. ;)
ReplyDeleteWe had to cut off all the daffodils late yesterday and bring them inside to enjoy because of the snow storm. More snow and rain today....and tomorrow too. Spring will get here, right?
ReplyDeleteVery pretty photo. I love purples and oranges together.
Hi, everyone! It's chillier here today, but still springlike. Thanks for your kind words about the photo -- I was experimenting with a "macro" setting, trying to get that delicate orange stamen in focus, which is why the depth of field is so very evident. It does almost look like it's floating, Alyce!
ReplyDeleteI know we'll have more cool weather, but even a little glimpse of spring is welcome in March!
Very pretty capture.
ReplyDeleteWe had a warm week too. No flowers peeking out in my front garden yet though. I'll just have to enjoy yours (and others) through the web.

I'm always so happy to see the little flowers pop up in the spring. I have a few shoots of green tops of the daffodils but no flowers yet.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! Spring flowers are just popping up all over the place this week. And, now we've had 24 hours of pouring rain!
ReplyDeleteA wonderful sight! We had a beautiful weekend here, too.
