Found yesterday after a short thaw: a daffodil!

Ha! How cute. We haven't had anything like that here yet, usually it's snowdrops sometime in late March.
ReplyDeleteFunny, I haven't seen the crocuses yet, but found this little guy. It's back down under freezing today -- I hope it makes it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great shot. Maybe spring really is on it's way.
ReplyDeleteSpring is in the air!
ReplyDeleteDaffodils are one of my favorite flowers; our's are totally confused and have been blooming for a week or so already!
ReplyDeleteWe are still under 2 feet of snow! Your photo gives me hope!
ReplyDeleteA hint of spring is wonderful, isn't it? I love the backdrop of leaves that really sets the bud apart.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing...
Here's my SATURDAY SNAPSHOT
Fantastic! This picture makes me want to run outside and push the snow aside for similar signs! I am sooooooo ready for spring!
ReplyDeleteThanks, everyone. I just read there's 3 inches of snow in the forecast -- but that's winter in Central Pennsylvania for you. You have to take hope whenever -- and wherever -- you find it!
ReplyDeleteYes!! Spring!! I'm going outside and search for some signs of life today. Our snow melted away yesterday in record warm temps. Now if the birds would start singing I'll be very happy.
ReplyDeleteYay! I always like seeing the flowers poking up as a sign of spring. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's lovely...I just hope the poor little thing doesn't get a big snowy shock before spring really gets here.
ReplyDeleteHere's my Snapshot: http://myreadersblock.blogspot.com/2011/02/saturday-snapshot-february-18.html
Oh, I love it! So great to see that first little sign that spring really will come.... :)
ReplyDeleteSo glad you're seeing signs of spring! Hopefully there won't be anymore snow.
ReplyDeleteOh wow..how cool...it'll be months before we see ground here.
ReplyDeleteYes! That is such a terrific composition.
ReplyDeleteYay!!! I'm glad you said what it was though ... I didn't see it for all those brown leaves at first. I hope I get to see one poking its head up soon! I'm done with winter!
